About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Events Sous Chef on behalf of a leading global catering provider. This is a unique and dynamic role offering the opportunity to work across a variety of event sites and locations throughout the year, predominantly in North Dublin but some flexibility will be required, supporting high-quality catering delivery at different venues.

This role operates on a 5/7 basis, with a mix of daytime and evening shifts depending on business and event requirements. Own transport is essential due to the multi-site nature of the position.

Key Responsibilities

As an Events Sous Chef, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head Chef and wider culinary team in delivering high-quality event catering.
  • Preparing and presenting food to a high standard across multiple event locations.
  • Assisting with menu execution tailored to different clients and event requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety standards.
  • Supervising kitchen teams on-site during events and ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Managing stock, setup, and breakdown processes across varying locations.
  • Adapting to different working environments and event types throughout the year.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in hospitality, catering, or events.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different sites and shift patterns (5/7).
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Own transport is essential.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work in fast-changing environments.
