We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate Pastry Chef to join a 5* luxury hotel close to Waterford and Cork.
This team is filled with passionate, highly motivated individuals striving to provide outstanding service whilst creating memorable experiences for guests and you will have exposure to working in a 1* Michelin restaurant.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with pastry experience to progress their career and to be involved in a busy high end hotel.
What will our newest recruit get up to?
- Preparation of cakes, cookies, pies and pastries
- Menu creation for new exciting desserts using seasonal and local produce
- Taking responsibility for the quality of desserts and their prompt service
- Ensuring outstanding attention to detail, maintaining a culture of high standards.
- Taking responsibility for the mise en place
- Maintaining stocks and ensuring efficiencies in food costs and wastage
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including HACCP
What do we expect from our newest recruit?
- Innovative and creative thinking when it comes to dish creation
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Attention to detail is a must
- Flair for decorative plates, dishes and products
- Able to work as part of a team and on own intuitive
- Qualifications in Pastry desirable but not essential
