We are looking for an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy corporate catering operation near Cork City Centre. This role offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance while working in a professional, high-volume environment.
Role Overview:
As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring that high standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently achieved. You will manage and mentor the kitchen team, contributing to menu planning and daily operations in a fast-paced corporate catering setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all kitchen activities in a high-volume corporate catering environment
- Oversee menu development, food preparation, and presentation to meet premium standards
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and skill development
- Maintain strict compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the wider catering team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations effectively
- Experience in corporate or high-volume catering is highly desirable
