Head Chef – Busy Local Pub (South Dublin)
Salary: €55,000 – €65,000
We’re recruiting for a Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen in a well-established, busy local pub in South Dublin. This role suits a hands-on chef who enjoys producing solid, homemade gastro-style food in a fast-paced, casual environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run the day-to-day kitchen operation in a high-volume pub setting
- Deliver a consistent menu of fresh, homemade dishes with a gastro focus
- Lead, train, and organise a small kitchen team
- Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are met
- Take responsibility for kitchen costs, margins, and overall financial performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef in a pub or casual dining environment
- Background in fresh food with a focus on simple, well-executed dishes
- Good understanding of food safety and compliance
- Ability to manage costs and keep the kitchen running efficiently
- Practical, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands-on role
