DEMI CHEF / COMMIS CHEF – WESTPORT QUAY RESTAURANT & BAR

Are you a passionate and driven chef looking to join a busy kitchen in a well‑reviewed bar, seafood and steak restaurant located on the scenic Westport Quay in Co. Mayo? We’re recruiting for a Demi Chef / Commis Chef to join a friendly, family‑run operation that’s known for its dedication to quality food, fresh local produce and a welcoming atmosphere.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute menu items to the highest standard, particularly seafood dishes, steaks and traditional Irish fare.
  • Assist with daily kitchen prep, portioning, stock rotation and service during busy dinner periods.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain consistency, quality and presentation.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.

Requirements:

  • Previous kitchen experience in a similar environment (hotel/restaurant).
  • Strong commitment to fresh ingredients and high‑volume service.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and readiness to progress.
  • Passion for producing quality food in a friendly but fast‑paced setting.
