About the Role
We are currently recruiting both a Commis Chef and a Demi Chef de Partie on behalf of a prestigious 5-star property in Waterford, recognised in the Michelin Guide. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing kitchen team in a fine dining environment focused on quality, consistency, and culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commis Chef / Demi Chef de Partie, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes to Michelin-level standards.
- Supporting senior chefs in the smooth running of designated kitchen sections.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety standards at all times.
- Ensuring ingredients are prepared, organised, and stocked efficiently.
- Following recipes and guidelines while developing technical culinary skills.
- Working collaboratively within a professional and structured kitchen brigade.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant, or fine dining environment.
- A strong passion for food and willingness to develop within a Michelin-level kitchen.
- Good understanding of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
