Chef Recruiters are working with a well-established, high-volume restaurant in Galway, currently seeking a motivated and skilled Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the ongoing success of the kitchen.
This Galway-based restaurant operates seven days a week, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner – with the Chef de Partie role primarily focused on dinner and evening service.

About the Role:
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Sous Chefs and Head Chef, contributing to the overall success of the kitchen during busy services.
You will be expected to maintain cleanliness and organisation within your section, assist in stock control, and help train and mentor junior kitchen staff. You will also be expected to step up and support the senior team during peak times or in their absence, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, adhering to the restaurant’s menu specifications
- Manage your own section of the kitchen during service, ensuring efficient and timely food production
- Assist in training and developing junior kitchen staff, helping to enhance their skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in your section, ensuring food safety standards are met at all times
- Assist in ordering, stock control, and minimising food wastage
- Work closely with the Sous Chefs and Head Chef to ensure smooth service and effective teamwork
- Ensure that kitchen equipment is used properly and maintained in good working order
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen
- Strong cooking skills, particularly in grill and seafood
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A passion for food and keen attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
