Chef De Partie

Role Overview:
As a Chef de Partie, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Chef Manager to support the kitchen brigade. Your primary responsibility is to ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently met in your designated section, assisting in the smooth running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure food hygiene, service, and presentation standards are maintained in line with HACCP guidelines and Health & Safety regulations.

Manage food orders according to company purchasing policies, using only approved suppliers.

Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to, guaranteeing food safety and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen and related areas.

Complete Food Safety/Quality records as assigned, ensuring they are carried out daily with precision.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in your section, both personally and in your workspace.

Assist the Head Chef and Chef Manager in checking, probing, and signing off on food deliveries to ensure high-quality produce is accepted.

Ensure food is presented innovatively and served at the correct temperature, with temperature records maintained.

Assist in stock takes and inventory management as required.

Review and ensure the safety of the kitchen environment by following the kitchen hazard list in conjunction with the Head Chef.

Maintain good communication and collaborative working relationships with the kitchen team, clients, and customers.

Support daily and weekly cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are kept to the highest hygiene standards.

Take on other reasonable tasks as needed to support food preparation, service, and kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:

Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent.

5+ years of continuous employment with references available to support, including experience in a Chef de Partie role or similar position.

Experience in hospitality or a high-volume kitchen is preferred.

Knowledge of HACCP documentation and food safety procedures.

Ability to prepare a wide range of food items to a high standard.

Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently with colleagues at all levels.

Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when required.

Experience handling food costings and contributing to budget goals.

Experience with menu planning is beneficial but not required.

Dedicated, reliable, and punctual with strong time-keeping skills.

Ability to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professionalism.

A passion for food and delivering exceptional service.

Flexible approach to hours and duties, with a willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule.

Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
What we offer:

Salary: €38,000 – €40,000 per year
