About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef on behalf of a well-established hotel in Cavan. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef to join a busy kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food while maintaining exceptional kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sous Chef, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to a consistent standard.
- Supervising and supporting the kitchen team during service.
- Ensuring food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP standards are maintained.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
- Contributing to menu development and seasonal specials.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior chef position within a busy hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and HACCP procedures.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A passion for delivering high-quality food and maintaining exceptional standards.
Salary
- €40,000–€45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Full-time, permanent position.
