We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of a well-established hospitality venue in County Wicklow. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to step into a senior role within a busy and professional hotel environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will support the day-to-day management of the kitchen while helping deliver consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen
- Assist with menu planning, specials, and food development
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
- Ensure HACCP and food safety standards are consistently followed
- Step into the Head Chef role when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie ready to progress
- Experience within a busy hotel or hospitality kitchen
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for fresh food and high culinary standards
- Solid understanding of HACCP and kitchen compliance
