A leading corporate catering provider is seeking a Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations at a busy manufacturing site in Galway City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for a better work-life balance, with daytime hours and a Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of a high-volume catering kitchen
  • Deliver fresh, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for onsite staff
  • Lead and organise the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen costs effectively

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in contract catering, hospitality, or high-volume food service
  • Strong background in fresh food and large-scale meal preparation
  • Solid understanding of food safety and compliance standards
  • Good financial awareness and ability to manage budgets
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
