A leading corporate catering provider is seeking a Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations at a busy manufacturing site in Galway City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef looking for a better work-life balance, with daytime hours and a Monday to Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of a high-volume catering kitchen
- Deliver fresh, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for onsite staff
- Lead and organise the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations
- Manage stock control, ordering, and kitchen costs effectively
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in contract catering, hospitality, or high-volume food service
- Strong background in fresh food and large-scale meal preparation
- Solid understanding of food safety and compliance standards
- Good financial awareness and ability to manage budgets
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
What’s on Offer:
- Salary of €45,000 – €47,000
