We are seeking a talented culinary leader to run a daytime, Monday to Friday kitchen in Cork City Centre. About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to staff leadership. You’ll bring your expertise in Asian culinary traditions to craft high-quality dishes while overseeing a professional kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Develop and execute a creative and authentic Asian menu, maintaining consistency and quality
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation to the highest standards
- Manage stock, ordering, and food costs, ensuring efficiency and profitability
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-focused environment
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader with extensive Asian cooking expertise
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Exceptional culinary ability with a focus on authenticity, flavor, and presentation
- Knowledge of stock control, costing, and kitchen profitability
- Ability to maintain high standards under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Flexible, professional, and proactive approach to kitchen operations
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary of €45,000+ per year (depending on experience)
