Chef de Partie – City Centre Restaurant

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a well-established city-center restaurant. Specializing in traditional Irish cuisine, this is an excellent opportunity for a chef who has a passion for high-quality food, working with fresh, local ingredients, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience. Previous experience in a similar setting is essential.

About the Role:
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing your section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the team to create and deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests. Your role will involve maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your section, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run your section during service, ensuring efficient preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
  • Assist in the development of seasonal menus featuring fresh, locally sourced Irish ingredients
  • Ensure your section is clean, organised, and compliant with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff and assist in their development and training
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality food quickly and consistently during busy service times
  • Ensure stock is managed properly, minimising waste and adhering to food cost control guidelines
  • Contribute ideas for daily specials and innovative dishes inspired by Irish cuisine

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, with previous experience in a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • A passion for Irish cuisine and a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen health & safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Salary & Benefits:

  • €15.50 to €18.00 per hour, depending on experience
