Head Chef

North Dublin, Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Head Chef, who will be responsible for managing the smooth and efficient running of the department while overseeing and directing employees under your immediate supervision in a landmark Hotel in North County Dublin.

 Role Responsibilities:

  • To review all menus on a monthly basis in relation to quality, price and content.
  • To achieve at a minimum the gross profit percentage on food sales.
  • In conjunction with the GM/DGM participate and advise in the compilation of bar food, function and other menus as required.
  • Ensuring HACCP procedures are followed correctly.
  • Work closely with purchasing company to ensure food costs are controlled in line with annual budgets.
  • Compiling department rosters
  • To use Kelsius system appropriately and ensure documentation is correct.

 

Candidate must be:

  • HACCP certified with a strong understanding of food safety
  • Fast, focused, and cool under pressure
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to guide and manage the team.
  • Friendly outgoing personality along with excellent personal presentation.
  • Able to handle pressure calmly and professionally.
  • Have previous experience in a busy fast paced kitchen.
  • Have excellent organizational skills.
