About the Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll be the right hand of the Head Chef, taking ownership of kitchen operations, menu creation, and team development. You’ll bring energy, precision, and creativity to every service, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, ensuring every dish is flawlessly prepared and beautifully presented
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, staff, and service flow
  • Create and execute seasonal, innovative menus using the finest local ingredients
  • Oversee prep and production for hotel dining, events, and private bookings
  • Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Manage stock, ordering, and waste to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Mentor and inspire the kitchen team, encouraging growth, skill development, and collaboration

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen professional, ideally in hotels or high-volume environments
  • Strong leadership, organization, and team management skills
  • Exceptional culinary ability with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • Thrive under pressure while maintaining exacting standards
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
  • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special events
