About the Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll be the right hand of the Head Chef, overseeing kitchen operations, mentoring staff, and helping shape an exceptional seasonal menu. You’ll have the freedom to innovate, maintain high standards of presentation and taste, and ensure the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine. This role is perfect for a motivated leader who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the kitchen team during service, maintaining high-quality food and consistency
  • Assist in menu creation, adding seasonal, inventive, and visually stunning dishes
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior chefs, fostering growth and collaboration
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management for cost-effective kitchen operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized kitchen in line with health and safety standards
  • Step in for the Head Chef when required, ensuring seamless service
  • Promote a culture of creativity, teamwork, and excellence

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in fine dining, high-volume, or innovative kitchens
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organize a team under pressure
  • A creative flair for food, especially seasonal and inventive dishes
  • Deep knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen operations
  • Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills across kitchen and front-of-house
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with Mondays and Tuesdays off
  • Bonus: interest in pairing dishes with high-quality beverages

Salary & Benefits

  • €40,000 – €45,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Two days off per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) for work-life balance
