Junior Sous Chef

South Dublin, Full Time

Chef Recruiters are currently hiring for a Junior Sous Chef to join a private members club in Dublin South on a full time permanent basis.

Candidate and Role Requirements:

  • Bar, restaurant and function room outlets
  • Working five over seven days, Monday to Saturday with two split days
  • Managing the smooth day to day running of this operation
  • Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including but not limited to, line cooking, food preparation and dish plating
  • Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients and waste management as well as managing food and product orders by keeping detailed records to minimise waste
  • Ensure a first-in, first out food rotation and verify all food products are properly dated and organised as well as keeping cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
  • Verify that all food storage units meet standards and are consistently well managed
  • Work with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns
  • Assist the head chef with menu creation and constantly drive for better and focuses on return custom
