Head Pastry Chef Duties and Responsibilities:

The Head Pastry Chef needs to ensure food is prepared to the highest standards agreed whilst working with the kitchen team. Approve of the standard presentation of all dishes, demonstrating skill and attention to detail
Ensure that the kitchen is always kept clean in adherence to Health & Safety & HACCP guidelines, maintain daily HACCP records. The Head Pastry Chef will need a depth of knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques and nutrition. Optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.

The Head Pastry Chef will manage the kitchen stock taking and inventory supervision, including rotation of stock. Management of waste essential. Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry section, when needed, and within budget 

The Head Pastry Chef should be passionate about baking and be inspired to create masterpieces that go beyond the guests expectations, to work alongside a team of chefs in a busy wedding venue. The Head Pastry Chef will be encouraged to be as innovative and creative as possible and bring new and unique ideas to the menus.
