Head Banqueting Chef Roles and Responsibilities:
The Head Banqueting Chef needs to have experience as a Banqueting Chef or in a similar role in management. Qualification in culinary arts, or similar is desired, but not essential. Unrelenting focus on quality and attention to detail. Assist in the compilation of menus in accordance with the senior team.
A Head Banqueting Chef will need to support the kitchen operations for Weddings and Functions. In conjunction with the Team to ensure the consistent smooth running of food service. Support the Head Chef in their duties, occasionally deputise in their role.
Mentor the skilled and ambitious culinary staff. The Head Banqueting Chef needs to lead by example in excellent food production. Leading a team of five role in the success of the functions and events. The Head Banqueting Chef has to ensure that cleanliness and food safety is adhered at all times, HACCP Management.
The Head Banqueting Chef needs a personal desire to progress and to learn new skills in the role. Ability to build relationships and influence with all levels of the business. To monitor staffing levels and coincide with increase/decrease house and function numbers. To manage the roster, the ordering, stock rotation and management of all stock items which must be kept to a level required to service the department.
The Head Banqueting Chef work five over seven days.
