Head Chef – South Dublin Campus Location

Salary: €48,000 – €50,000 + Performance Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead a busy foodservice operation within a prestigious South Dublin campus environment.

This is a fantastic role for a motivated culinary professional seeking an excellent work-life balance, offering a Monday to Friday daytime schedule with no late evenings.

The Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operation, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality food and service standards. You will lead and develop the kitchen team while maintaining excellent food safety, compliance, and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen brigade.
  • Plan and deliver fresh, seasonal, and innovative menus.
  • Manage food production to the highest quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
  • Control food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and kitchen presentation.
  • Work closely with site management to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

The Candidate

  • Qualified Chef with relevant professional culinary qualifications.
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within high-volume catering, hospitality, contract catering, or institutional foodservice environments.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP and food safety legislation.
  • Commercially aware with experience managing food costs and budgets.
  • Passion for quality food, presentation, and customer service.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
